Build Exclusivity With Text Message Marketing

red velvet rope 150x150 Build Exclusivity With Text Message MarketingText message marketing is the perfect platform to try out new marketing techniques.  One great example is to build exclusivity.  You want to make your subscribers feel special and that they are getting deals or attending events that no one else is.  It’s a great way to keep them members longer and also get them spread the word to their friends so your campaigns go viral.

When you send out a new mobile offer, don’t just send out the same one you placed in the paper over the weekend.  Make it special, give them more, or give them something different.  It doesn’t have to be every time you send out a message, just once in a while.  If its the same old same old, for 4 messages a month, month after month, you might soon be loosing subscribers.

Imagine your customers checking their cell phone one day and seeing that you’re giving out a free slice of pizza only to text subscribers!  You think they’ll brag to their friends?  You think they’ll come in and just get a slice of pizza?  Even if they do, you’ve made their day and maybe created a super fan in the process.  One willing to tell all their friends about your place and tell them how they can also sign up to your list.  Maybe, they’ll bring in their friends too when they get their slice.

One great technique we saw used was for a shoe retailer.  They sell designer shoes usually in limited quantity.  Knowing that a shipment of new shoes was coming in, they sent out a text message their subscribers that they would be opening up an hour early one day only just for members of their text campaign.  When they got there to open the store, they had a line of eager customers waiting around the block.  Their fans got an exclusive opportunity to get the best selection of designer shoes before anyone else.

With text message marketing from Moto Message, we make it easy to build different lists to target different demographics at different times.  Let teens know about one list, adults another, or one for boys, one for girls and target the offers and messages.  Endless possibilities.  Just make sure that your doing something different with your list than normal advertising.

I agree with you. I am the owner of a record store and I usually receive promotional materials from the bands like pins or stickers which I like to give for free to my text message subscribers. It is a good way to keep them interested in my business and it’s cheap too.

Make your text subscriber feel special, well who would be able to hate that? I am a consumer myself and I know that even cheap freebies could make a big difference in the way customer’s perceive your business. Customer loyalty is something that businessmen should strive for.
