Mobile Marketing Ad Spending Statistics and Predictions
Mobile marketing ad spending will continue to explode in the next 5 years. In 2011, eMarketer predicts spending of text message marketing, mobile banners, video and other mobile based media to crack the One Billion dollar mark. Growth from 2009 to 2010 almost doubled at 79% with next year predicting another huge increase of 48%. Text marketing based advertising is expected to top 2010 in spending with $327 million.

Text marketing still remains a wide open market for small businesses. Consumers are embracing opt-in marketing on their mobile phones and as text marketing reaches a wider audience, it is necessary to be first to market with text message marketing in your local area in your business market. If there are already 5 other restaurants in your immediate area marketing to customers via text, it is unlikely customers will join multiple restaurant lists. If you are first in your area to start, you will be able to steal customers from your competition and market directly to them on their cell phones. If you are still on the fence about starting a mobile marketing campaign in your area because no one else is doing it yet, consider that a good sign and take action today.
